The Electric Hammer
The electric hammer was a gag gift that my dad received for his 50th birthday. Since he was finally “over the hill,” his friends wanted to make his job a little easier with their homemade “electric” hammer. From that point forward that hammer hung on his office wall, along with beloved family photos and prized business awards.
As a kid I believed that the hammer was real, and that it must be important to get a place on the wall. While I did finally learn that the hammer was not a valuable first edition, I still appreciated the creativity and wit of the gift. When brainstorming a name for my bakery, I felt the unique and playful spirit of the electric hammer would be the perfect inspiration for the delicious, one of a kind baked goods I want to share.

I’m Carlee, Owner and Baker of the Electric Hammer Bakery. My baking journey began as a kid that loved chocolate chip cookies but had a family that didn’t like to bake. Naturally, I became the designated chocolate chip cookie baker in my family. Over time I slowly branched out to other treats, but started to explore my passion for baking more thoroughly during the pandemic. As I expanded my skills and knowledge, I found the work incredibly rewarding and enjoyable.
Experimentation, expression, and creativity have become the most fun part of baking for me. I love creating unique desserts that put a tasty twist on traditional treats to create a delicious adventure for your taste buds. I’m so excited to start sharing these creations with all of you!
